I suffer from hair loss from time to time. A dermatologist told me it was genetic and recommended 5000 micrograms of biotin a day. I believe it helps. NOW is a brand I trust, great prices on Amazon.com, as always.

I am in the process of trying to grow out a chin length bob, after donating over 11inches of hair too the locks of love. I have done lots of research on natural ways too do this and after reading a lot of things about biotin I decided to add this with my hair,skin,and nail vitamin regimen. I truly believe that this vitamin is whats causing my hair and nails too grow, not the hair,skin,and nail vitamin. I have been taking this for exactly three weeks now and I have already grown 1inch of hair! Thats really good for me considering i may grow 1/2inch a month,if that! Overall these vitamins are wonderful, i plan on purchasing another bottle when i run out!

I have always had awful nails. Thin, peeling, breaking, ridges. I've tried everything...calcium, vitamins, copper peptide to rub into them, hand creams to moisturize them. Nothing made a difference until now. I still take a multivitamin and the calcium and now that I've added the Biotin I actually have nails. First time ever since I was pregnant and took prenatal vitamins. I have also started to use OPI nail strengthener as well and that has made a huge difference as well. The Biotin started them growing out much stronger and the OPI has stopped the peeling. I would recommend both products. Have a little patience with the Biotin. You have to take it for a while to see results. It doesn't work overnight. I've been taking it for about 3 months and I'm very happy now. I take 5mg twice daily. They don't upset my stomach at all.

Biotin stops candida Albicans yeast from transforming into a fungus which is what causes the problems. I've been taking 5000mcg(5mg) a day of biotin for the past 4 months and I think it has helped. Other benefits for me have been longer eyelashes, good skin, softer hair, faster growing fingernails and more energy. I have been taking other things for candida overgrowth, so if someone suffers from this, one thing doesn't do it, it's a combination of many things, proper diet (anti candida and alkalizing), vitamins, supplements, exercise, good night sleep, relaxation, etc. It can take a while but it is definetely achievable, to have a balanced system, it has taken me about two years, the difference lies in how long you have had candida imbalance, I had it for many many years. If you have discipline, it won't be that long before you see the results. Don't get discouraged, you will make it!!!!
